Perception - Can people see different colors, but they call them names?

I've always wondered if the blue I see is the same blue that you see. Do we all see a different color, but as children we are taught that the color you see is blue? I would call the real color is orange and vice versa. The same goes for all other colors - How do we know that everyone is seeing the same thing, not only what they individually recognize them for what we are taught to call the color? I understand that there are different wavelengths, but what if our brain processes it differently? We know about color blindness, so that at least some people who see things differently. There is no way to see through another person's perceptions - This could apply to smells, tastes, music, etc. and report different people's preferences in all these things. Agree? Disagree? Why? Has anyone studied this? PS I am not high. .. :-)

I've thought about this too! I think what it boils down to human beings have the same physiology. Our brain and eyes are anatomically identical. So probably colors are perceived similarly because of these similarities.
